helpful hints and tips I learned along the way, in no order particularly
Dawn is a wonderful grease and stain cutter on fabrics
Strain plain yogurt overnight to take away the bitter taste
Take a day off from everything, shut the tv off, turn down the ringer on the phone, silence your cellphone and just be
Write a letter to your children or write a letter to your younger self
Believe in love at first sight
Launder fold and PUT AWAY each load BEFORE starting another load!
Buy inexpensive stacking boxes to use a junk drawers (we have some in the shop actually) and stuff all the things that you don't have time to look at NOW such as catalogs, correspondence, missing buttons, coupons... you know all the little things that pile up around the house and make everything look a mess!
Get yourself a paper shredder and keep it where you take care of the incoming mail
Create a home kit for yourself with sewing supplies, scissors, glue, hammer, nails and a screwdriver ... you never know when you will need it
Send a letter to your friend, there is nothing like real mail!
Save your pennies, literally and then cash them in and buy yourself something special
Things change and so do you!
Keep ice water in your fridge and server it in your favorite glass!
Freeze zucchini for the winter (cube it or shred it and add it to sauce, soups, casseroles)
Save the tops of celery (in the freezer) for soup
to be continued...
