Update: So far in this one challenge alone, I made 19.47 at Oncore.
This was stuff that was just lying around the house... so now I get to take my honey to the movies and get an ice cream afterward!
I took the 52 Item Challenge
Starting with a blank slate, I looked around the room and saw this tin heart that did not match anything else I have in the room. (will consign this at Oncore)
I then added a crystal ice bucket (Oncore) and two little Amish kids and two cats meows that represent places I have never been (Oncore)
I then came across a beautiful crystal pitcher that I never used as well as a cake taker (I never bake) (Oncore)
I found some bags that I will donate to the library fall festival as well as the bottom of a Terra cotta pot. I also have some Easter forks and cups that I will donate for the backroom at the shop for our lunches The patriotic décor I will keep in a box until the consignment shop is accepting summer as I know for sure I will have a lot more summer stuff. I will just mark the box “Oncore Summer” and when we begin accepting summer again (April) I will bring it to the shop I also have a basket that is my moms and a mug that I will ask my husband about, if neither of them want these things I will donate them to the Library Fest. Oh and I also came across some magnetic bingo chips that I will store away with our pichino game when we play with the kids!
I then came across a set of 4 glasses that I just don’t like. Since Oncore does not accept ordinary drinking glasses I will donate them to the Library.
There is a really nice crystal bowl and vase (Oncore) as well as a picture frame (Oncore) I plan to take some of the lotions to the shop for the bathroom and I plan to toss out most of the other health and beauty things that I never liked in the first place but saved “just in case”
I have a hat for the library. I am “donating “ a candy maker to a family I know loves to make things since Oncore does not accept electronics.
I added a rug and some basket filler and ribbon that I know we can use at the shop.
I also have some jewelry that I plan to consign at Oncore
I have another lot of stuff that I cannot show here because it was stuff given as gifts LOL and I don't want any ones feelings hurt. I plan to consign it all at Oncore.
All in all I decluttered 57 items
This pile of stuff took only 20 minutes to get and another 10 to designate to it's destinations.
Because I am an established consignor at Oncore I will do a drop and run.
I have a box for the library started and the other things I will give to the person I intend them for
That's all for now... but I am in the process of moving so there will be much more!
How about you?
Stay tuned, one of our beloved consignors is cleaning out her garage next weekend and we will show you what she has done to declutter!
